Asto N'ice
A capture of the Aston Martin DBS, also known from the James Bond Motion Pictures; "Casino Royale" and "Quantum of Solace".
Photographers Comment
The image was shot at relatively low light and the DBS is moving at high speed, providing this intentional impression of blur. Normally blur is something to avoid in photography, but in this case it sustains the impression of speed and it provides an image that you don't have to relate to as you would with a strict line-up. The image fits well in any room, dark or light, large or medium. Colorscale is cold tone and limited within dark, blueish, grey and white. Hence, the title "Asto N'ice". I asked Aston Martin what DBS is short for:
Quote
DB stands for David Brown who was appointed Chairman of Aston Martin in 1947. The ‘S’ doesn’t stand for anything, it is just a variant on the Aston Martin.
