Legacy is the essence. Time is running out for "Kødbyen", the city meat market as we used to know it. Logistics is today more efficient and the market place is simply situated at a too attractive address for this purpose. The market facilities are slowly adopted by inn cafés and creative functions. The brand - Kød og Flæskehal is still around for some time though. If not in real life, then partially in this art work
The term "Spam" originates from canned precooked meat produced by Hormel Foods Corporation. The company became supplier for military rations for the US Army. Cheap and arguable quality, spam became synonymous to something not to wish for, due to already too much consumption. Hence, spam mail.
